Valentine’s Day or the Lantern Festival?

Usually, the Valentine’s Day has no connection with the traditional Chinese festival, but this year, the Lantern festival falls on the same day with the lovers’ day. Well, some young will face a dilemma, especially for those who doesn’t get married. Should they spend the day with their families or their hot lovers? That’s a question. I’ve got a key that can solve this problem. Family comes first of course. You should wake up a little earlier in the morning, and help your mother in the kitchen. On the Lantern Festival, making rice balls and dumplings are the traditional activities. Having a reunion dinner with the whole family is also very important, so you need to show up and stay with your family for the whole morning. Spend some time with your family. Keep them company and make them happy. In the afternoon, there are maybe not so busy, you can plan for the Valentine’s Day with your girlfriend or boyfriend, you can have some snacks in 4p.m, and tell your parents you will hang out with your friends at night and not having supper at home tonight. They would be understood. Then you can take your girlfriend or boyfriend to a nice restaurant and see the latest movie after dinner. Do not forget to present the gift you prepare for your lover. Make your lover happy, too. I think everybody should find a balance between family love and lover’s love. If I can only choose one, I will choose family love over the other. Because I know my family never leaves me and my parents are aging. How many days can I still be with them? So I really appreciate the days that I can still be with them. I know you will do the same just like me.

精彩文章The Long March 长征

If there is anyone who still doubts that China is a nation of diligence and bravery, the Long March is definitely one of the most persuasive evidences. Taking a whole year to achieve, suffering all sorts of difficulties, it would be a great miracle in human race.

In October, 1934, the Red Army began their march from Ruijin, Jiangxi Province because of the failure of the fifth counter-encirclement. Going westward with unimaginable effort to break through 4 blockade lines, they arrived at Xiang River in December. In the middle January, 1935, after the occupation of Zunyi, the Red Army held the well-known “Zunyi Meeting”, at which Mao Zedong’s leadership was established. Then, they amazingly crossed the Jinsha River which made them cast off the besiegement of KMT. And they went on the march northward, passing through Daliang Mountain, capturing Luding Bridge, and crossing the Jiajin Mountain perennially covered with snow. In the middle of June, the Red Fourth Army was joined forces. Aiming at setting up three more basements, the whole mixed army was divided into two parts to plod through grasslands. Having won several campaigns on the way to north, the Red Army finally got to Wuqi Town, which was the early end of the Long March.

Although this was not the eventual end of the Long March, every step remained in 14 provinces had absolutely reflected the Long-March spirit which would always be the highest expression of the Chinese people's being indomitable and constantly striving to become stronger.

Nowadays, more andmore university students find it hard to find a good job after graduation. However, the employers also fint it difficult in hiring a suitabale staff at the sametime. Why does this happens? I think there must be something related to thegraduates.

First of all, manyemployers find that most students have nothing working experience concerningwith their major. As students’ main job in school is study, employer should notmake too high requirement to them actually. But students should have aninternship before entering the society or at least have a concept about the jobrelated to their specialized subject. Most students know nothing except thetextbook, which makes them feel hard to get start. What’s worse, some graduatesdon’t learn well in school. They neither have experience nor master the theoreticalknowledge. In addition, the majority of students are the little prince andprincess at home. They haven’t suffered any hardship with the protection oftheir parents. As a result, they can’t endure hardship or easily give up whenmeeting difficulties.

To summarize, thegraduates should try their best to improve themseves to get out theembarrassing situation of finding jobs. That also makes recruiting much moresmoothly. I firmly believe this situation will be better in the future.

Integrity Restaurant

Recently an n integrity restaurant has become a hot topic which arouses a controversial debate. A man run a restaurant without any waiter and people who have dinner here can pay the bill as they want to, if the customer think this meal worth 50 Yuan, then he can put 50 Yuan in the box. However, as the owner keep losing money over 4 months, people begin to think this is the customer’s integrity issue, while I can’t agree with it.

In the first place, the restaurant didn’t name the price to each dish, which means the owner let the customer evaluate the meal by themselves. That’s make sense that people pay the money for the meal is always lower than the owner’s expectation. Let along the one who don’t pay the bill, as everyone have different values, and most people have no idea about the cost of the dish, it is understandable that customer pay less money than the cost.

In the second place, the restaurant has on waiter at all which makes the cost lower than a regular restaurant. The customer have to help themselves to have rice and meals, also they need to wash the dish. It makes reasonable that customer pay less money than the owner expected.

To sum up, this is may not be the problem of integrity, but the way of running a restaurant. I believe most people had paid their bills, but they just pay it lower than the cost.

The Mind of the Machines

Can machines really think? The artificial intelligence, such as a computer that thinks like a human being is scary. Is building a machine that thinks like a human really possible? We are ever closer to building an AI that thinks like a human. When it comes to this issues, different people offer different views, some people think that machine has feelings like human beings is interesting and it may be a better server to human; while the other think it is dangerous, it may causes a revolt.

People who approved of human feelings machine think that once robot has specific feelings, such as happy, sad, anger, they might be more humanize. For example, maybe in the future a robot nanny will replace a real human nanny, who are work more effective and without any complain. If they have real emotion, they are more perfect, and more like a company but not a cool machine.

People who against human robot argue that once the robot is more intelligent than we think, that maybe a great tribulation to human beings. There has a potential risks that once the robot is smart enough, they may unwilling to be human’s server anymore, they may want to be legally citizens, or even worse, to be the owner of the world. It is possible because they are smart and they are stronger compare with human beings.

It is not sure what will happen in the future, having robot to serve for human beings is a good thing, but the issue of artificial intelligence is still controversial.
