It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.
About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.
While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said “no.” I couldn’t endure yet another painful experience. He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. I will never forget his words. “Look,” he said, “We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits.”
I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!
As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

我爱我的家乡和我美丽的学校。我的学校是长胜小学。她像一个温暖的母亲，用她的甜牛奶养育她的孩子。走进校门，我看见一座假山。
假山下是一个喷水池。池水清澈见底，池中的小鱼儿自由自在的游来游去，好像在捉迷藏。池水映出蓝天白云。“鱼在天上游，云在水里飘”是真的。
从假山往左走看到了”惜时园“。那里，碧绿的草地上点缀着小小的黄色的野花，就像巨大的绿毛毯上镶上了点点的金边。再往里走，就可以看见一个小亭子，旁边有一座雕像，就，雕的是两只梅花鹿，那只小鹿依偎在妈妈身旁，妈妈则侧着身子看着自己的小宝宝，欣慰的笑了。
假山前是橙色的教学楼。走进来，你可以看到八个大字：和谐、博客、学习、弘德！

一进校门，首先映入眼帘的是一个美丽的大花坛，花坛里种着四季常青的绿色植物。右手边是几棵高大挺拔的雪松，它们看起来是那么翠色欲滴、精神饱满，犹如一位位严肃的战士一样挺立在校园里，时刻保卫着我们的安全。

走进学校的大门，就会看见几棵大榕树和我们的教学楼。这几棵榕树已经在学校很多年了，到底是多少年我们也不知道。其中有一棵最大的榕树很美丽。它春天发芽，长叶，远看就像是两棵树种在一起才成的这茂密的嫩叶。夏天叶子不再是嫩绿了而是深绿了，并且更茂盛了，热了还可以在树下躲阴呢。秋天，叶子黄了，东落下来像一只只黄蝴蝶从空中慢慢地飞落下来。冬天叶子大部分落下来，但有时还有许多叶子还在树上，并且它们仍然是绿色的，无论怎么风吹雨打，它们依然在树枝上光彩夺目。
后边就是我们的教学楼了，我们的教学楼一共只有三层，每一层只有四个教室，而第二层确只有两个教室，一个教室是音乐室，还有一个教室就是微机室，所以第二层就只有两个教室。而每一间教室都按照每个年级的人来排列桌子，每一间教室都有一电器。
我们操场上还有打篮球的和打乒乓球的，还有一个讲台。我们学校的打篮球的有两个分别在操场上下两边;我们学校的打乒乓球的有七个，每班一个。右边有四个，左边有三个。而右边有树挡阴，所以我们都喜欢在右边打乒乓球。
教学楼对面办公室下面还有几棵桂树，桂树秋天开花，它开的花是白色的，小花很香呢。落下来像铺了一层又香又白的地铺。
我们学校的讲台下面的两边还有两棵松树，可是不知为什么它们一边稀一边密，边小松鼠都不愿意来了。

如今，公厕里，学校里，公园里的水龙头变，都能看到湿漉漉的地和正在滴水的水龙头，这样一个水龙头虽然浪费不了多少水，但如果有千千万万个这样的水龙头，那么浪费的水可就不是一个小数目了。我国的用水面临着严峻的问题，所以我们要珍惜水资源，节约用水。比如：用完水后，要拧紧水龙头，以免造成“一江清水向东流”的浪费现象，如果发现水龙头坏了，要及时修理，避免损失大量的水，大家也别小看废弃的电池，因为一粒纽扣电池会污染600吨的水，如果你把它扔到水里，水将无法饮用。我们应该把电池收集起来，送往回收站，这样既可以避免污染水源，又使电池得到回收，一举两得。

my campus life hello everyone. today i＇m glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in china agriculture university. first i must say the campus life is really different from what i have experienced in high instance， i used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time.
but now i have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise i would miss my class. and then even worse there would be nobody remind me except my teacher！ so the differences are everywhere and i could easily find them.
the change of life is great and its wonderful： i have more time of my own and the rights to decide how i live. my campus activities are rich and ning english has be***e a habit to me cause i plan to study abroad in next few years.
playing guzheng is my favorite activity. i have kept on practising it since i was a little girl and i wish to win more ***petitions in my campus life. our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers， also has the best students（laugh）.
i consider it to be a honor that ive got a chance to study here and i sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus！
i think every student in junior high school or even a new term the first class meeting is a ＂new semester new plan，＂ the university did not expect to have such a ban would be the same. however， every freshman to the university of strange environments such as exploration in the dark. however， an early goal set for myself in the dark， lit as a beacon， a constant reminder to guide us forward.
sister school seniors who passed before the exchange of experience， we can avoid detours. but everyone there is a separate individual， the experience can not be ***pletely copied， should have its own general plan. college life includes learning， work and life.
following on from the three aspects i came to my planning.
about learning： as long as we still a student， the total should be on learning more important position.

I can hadle it
I can never forget the summer in 1996. I went through an extremity of despair due to my failure in the National College Entrance Examination. It seemed that my dream of being a university student would never come true. One evening my father came and told me the story of Steven Callahan, who was crossing the Atlantic alone in his sailboat when it struck something and sank. It was a miracle that he survived and was found 76 days later(the longest anyone has survived a shipwreck on a life raft alone). Later in his narrative he wrote these sentences “I tell myself I can handle it .Compared to what others have been through I’m fortunate”.
Hearing these sentences I felt something important struck me. I belived my life would mot be that bad and it was proved to be true. Later during my study in the university I always told myself “I can handle it” when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming and every time I said it ,I always came back to my senses.
Now I work as an English teacher in a middle school. Whenever my students complain about their difficulties in study or want to give up, I will tell the same story of Callahan to them. I just want to make them believe they can handle their difficulties because their circumstances are only bad compared to something better. But others have been through much worse. Then they will build up fortitude.
So here, coming to us from the extreme edge of survival, are words that can give us strength. Whatever you’re going through, tell yourself you can handle it. Compared to what others have been through, you’re fortunate. Tell this to yourself over and over, and it will help you get through the rough spots with little more fortitude.

1、在课间不做剧烈的活动，避免发生各种伤害事故;

3、严禁翻爬扶栏等。
四、防止校园踩踏的事故的发生。
踩踏事故一旦发生，往往是大规模的、恶性的，所造成的影响也是巨大的。所以我们应该好好的`反思一下，要时刻保持清醒的头脑。那么在日常生活中，我们应该如何去预防和防止踩踏的事故的发生呢?
(1)举止文明，人多的时候不拥挤、不起哄、不制造紧张或恐慌气氛。
(2)顺着人流走，切不可逆着人流前进，否则，很容易被人流推倒。
(3)假如陷入拥挤的人流时，一定要先站稳，身体不要倾斜失去重心，即使鞋子被踩掉，也不要弯腰捡鞋子或系鞋带。
五、严格规范操作。
1、体育活动、实验课、社会实践、清扫卫生及其他户外活动要严格服从老师指挥，严守操作规程。

and now i have been here two years. recalling to the two years, i think i have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.
comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.

Some of the more pressing issues facing China are universal. These include environmental degradation, over population and the effects of globalization.
To overcome some of the things we need to implement include:
Enhancing our scientific and industrial technologies in such areas as IT, Bio- tech, AI and Cybernetics.
Further develop public infrastructure in under developed regions.
Promote education reform at all levels.
Introduce sustainable development initiatives.
The implementation of free trade agreement between China and ASEAN.
The benefit to China in introducing these initiatives will be significant and far-reaching. It is important to realize that these initiatives need to filter down through all elements of the society in China. For instance, cutting edge technologies and intellectual properties; the development of e-commerce based economy; an education system that encourages innovation and creativity; increased foreign investment; higher living standards; more efficient use of natural resources.
It is important for us to realize these reforms are both essential and necessary. These will help China to fulfill its vast and unrealized potential on the world stage. It will also contribute more to a globalized world of the new century.
As for the future our task is not to foresee but to enable.

I received a devastating blow to my self-confidence in the first interview of my college years. I applied to be a host in our Student Acting Troupe and felt confident that I would be accepted. But one of the panel members told me: "You seem inadequate and you are a little vertically-challenged." My life has never been the same since. I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing.
As president of English Club, I organized the rehearsal of Snow White for an English party. Unfortunately, we could not find an actor to be the last dwarf. It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. To my great surprise and delight, once on stage, I was totally absorbed in the performance and my humorous nature was put to full use. As the dwarf, I was a big hit.
Yes, each of us is only one among millions of others, but each of us is an individual and each of us is unique. Cultivating our individuality will transform our lives, making of them a kaleidoscope of new colors and textures.
A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.
Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. I would contribute my individual and unique colors to create a more diverse universe. Please, be yourself.

The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region occupies an area of 1.18 million square kilometers and has a population of about 20 million people who represent a score of different nationalities. Every time when people talk about Inner Mongolia, they’ll come down to the vast grassland. Yes, the Inner Mongolian prairie area makes up a quarter of the total grassland area of the country. On the boundless expanse of the Inner Mongolian prairie are living numerous sheep, Cattle and horses, on which our Mongolian have lived for generations. That is why the grassland is eulogized as “cradle of life”. There are two vast grasslands in my hometown—Hulun Buir Grasslands and Xilin Gol Grasslands which are both world-famous regions. People in Inner Mongolia are famous for their bravery, enthusiasm and hospitality. No mater where you are from, as long as you come to a herdsman’s house, you will be warmly entertained with roasted whole lamb and milk tea, and what’s more, you can also appreciate beautiful Mongolian songs and elegant dances. It is not exaggerating to say Mongolians are born singers and dancers. The moment you set your feet on the grassland areas you will discover it is indeed a real land of songs and dances.
Today’s Inner Mongolia still maintains her ethnic characteristics and at the dame time, she tries to keep pace with the development of the modern world. Ordus is a worldwide well-known brand, Yili and Mengniu are both the famous dairy industries, which have greatly improved the living standard of our Mongolian people. And I’m sure, our Mongolian people will make great effort to contribute to our hometown. As a college student, I know quite clearly that my mission is to master solid knowledge and one day do good to my beloved hometown.
