My students, mostly six to twelve years old, had difficulties in understanding the aesthetics inherent Chinese calligraphy. To help them, I taught them Chinese poems and ancient characters instead of confining myself to only calligraphy. The approach turned out to be very effective, and their skills improved dramatically. In these and other similar experiences, I gained skills of interpersonal communication, particularly in terms of how to understand other people’s problems and how to help them out.

It is in my working experience that I first developed the desire to pursue advanced studies in a quality graduate program in the United States. As an intern with the Dentsu Young & Rubicam Advertising Corporation, one of the world’s largest communications groups, I now witness firsthand the dramatic social and economic changes engendered by the proliferation of digital technologies and increasing corporate globalization. These changes have created the highly sophisticated information society. 护照、机票、在留资格认定证明书、入学许可书、资格外活动申请书一定要随身携带!

护照建议彩色复印几份，以防在日本丢失后无法补办。

现金建议随身携带20~30万日元即可，最多不得超过55万。人民币也带上500~1000元左右，以防突发情况回国时没时间换。

信用卡、储蓄卡可以带一张家里人的附属卡，平时刷卡，家里直接还人民币，省去很多汇款的手续费。储蓄卡建议办理中国银行的，在日本网点很多。最近光大和华夏也很有人气，取款手续费低，可以办一张。

资格外活动许可申请表。很多语言学校将资格外活动许可和在留卡一起发放，同学们一定不要忘了填写好，在过关的时候交给检察官，这样你才有资格在日本打工!

开头基本上都是申请动机，无论以何种形式。有人会用小时候的经历，有人会用家庭教育，有人会用听的一个讲座的启发等等。 很多介绍留学文书写作的文章都说开头一定要吸引人。他们说的没错，对于有精彩的故事的同学当然建议把这些放在开头，但是并不是每一个人都有很吸引人的经历可写，所以，真实就好，用诚心打动录取委员会成员。写完动机后需要根据动机提出自己的目标，也就是我们经常说的short term /long term goal，接着就可以很自然的把话题引到要申请的学校。然后指出为什么我要申请这个学校的--项目，可以适当的吹捧一下这个项目或者学校。

正文：大学学习+大学的科研经历(理工科类)或者参加的对申请有帮助的活动(文科类)+特殊的经历的有机结合

正文部分是实实在在的将你的经历你的背景展现给招生委员会看的地方。你的内容决定了他们将看到怎么样的一个你。所以对于内容的选择一定要慎重。这部分是最难写的或也是最难介绍经验的部分，因为每个人的经历都有自己的特色，如何组织如何表现需要每一位申请者去反复思考。这里我就提一些重要的Tips，帮助大家完成一个具有逻辑性，且上下文呼应的正文。

1 每段确定一个中心句或中心思想

2把自身经历与在开头提到的长期或者短期目标所结合'

我刚开始写留学文书时，正文部分只是简单地堆砌了我在大学做了什么，有什么样的表现，完全忽略了与自己开头所定的长期或者短期目标所结合。这样就使得内容失去了方向，变得空洞无力。所以大家一定要注意：精心挑选自己的内容，让人感觉到这些内容都能直接或者间接的为实现自己的目标所服务。并且，在叙述每一个内容时或者之后，尽量巧妙地把自身目标揉和进去，做到有的放矢。

3把申请的项目特点与自身经历所结合;

这点其实和第一点有些像。结合第一点，大家需要考虑的是如何把自身经历，目标以及项目特点所结合，最好的效果是把三者潜移默化的揉和在一起或者两两结合

4 经历要分主次

突出自己的unique的地方，对于和别人差不多的但又不能不写的部分少用笔墨。很多人会问，哪个是unique，哪个是别人也都会写的。这个其实是个比较忌讳的问题(很容易招来不满)。好，我在这里就不避讳的说一下。

别人都有的：学校的课程学习，学校内部的活动、成绩。学校内部的活动其实是随便吹的，因为外人不了解。所以有的人可以吹很多，但是这些内容一般说来没有多少影响力。成绩的话，除非你是top 5%，可以强调一下，不然就用e-cellent academic performance 带过就好了。

容易出现亮点的地方：

(1)科研(理工科)，有paper的话好好强调，没有的话也不要桑心，写清楚做了什么学到了什么，从中感悟到了什么。

(2)志愿者经历，internship工作经历 (文科)： 美国人特别喜欢志愿者经历什么的，如果是那种到山区执教，一定要大书特书。写得时候注意强调你作为一个individual，给某个弱势群体，这个社会带来了什么改变。

(3)交换经历：外国的交换经历无疑也是申请的一个大亮点，记得吹一下选拔多难，然后自己如何脱颖而出。到了国外以后的一些special 的例子，表现自己的适应能力、科研能力、语言能力、social能力、领导力等。

上面可能写得有些凌乱，但是正文其实是很难用条条框框总结的，这里我指出了一些大家容易忽略的地方，并且也给出了一些具体的写作操作方式(侧重点等)。如果能做到上面提到的前三点，我相信你写完以后，将会惊喜地发现你的全文连接非常顺畅，条理清晰。为什么?因为每段都有重点，而且每段的重点或者事例都在为同一个中心思想服务!这个中心思想是什么?为了实现你的长期目标你要申请--学校。

结尾： 呼应开头+对学校的特殊了解和感情

一般会用各种方式再次引出自己的长期目标(用什么方式?自己想啦，我用的名人名言啦)。然后结合自己的长期目标再次引出要申请的学校的项目。这里要注意的是需要对学校的项目有比较深入的了解，知道项目的特色，甚至可以知道这个学校有哪些著名的校友。然后将自己的兴趣与学校的项目契合起来，让人感觉这个项目是为了帮助你实现长期目标所量身打造的。另外可以用少量笔墨提一下自己可以给项目，甚至给美国社会(community)所带来的贡献。

In my proposed study, I will contribute my research talents because I possess experience of participating in a major research project. For an entire year from December 2002 to December 2003, as the sole undergraduate of the research group, I took part in the Study of _ City’s Specialized Water Management System, which is part of the country’s “863” key scientific and technological research program undertaken by _ Bluewater Science and Technology Company. I performed field study of the water resources in the _ region of _ City and the wealth of statistics that I collected and codified provided valuable reference materials for the entire research group. In addition, I proposed that BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer)could be employed to construct a small-scale waste-water treatment plant. The most important role I played was the substantive research I carried out for the topic on Lake Management System and the research report that I co-authored. Prof. _, the leader of the research group, praised me as “demonstrating impressive professional dedication and sound research potential, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.”

I have lived a colorful extracurricular life. Learning dancing in my childhood, I became the leader of the dancing team of our university’s art troupe, and launched traveling performances in neighboring provinces. Representing _ Province, I participated in China’s First National Dancing Contest for University Students, at which I won the third prize. Moreover, as a key member on the Student Management Committee of our university’s library, I organized a campus-wide book-reading festival. In 2001, as one of the five delegates of our university, I attended the New Millennium Administrative Elites Training Program jointly sponsored by _ Chinese University and _ General Chamber of Commerce. I have been working as a secretary at the International Exchange Department of _ University of Science and Technology where I am responsible for receiving foreign delegations, offering consultations and arranging lectures and academic conference. 误区1：英国研究生一年速成，含金量低?

英国留学高等教育选课指南

一、选课数量

英国的高等教育一年分为三个学期，每年需要修够120个学分，这样平均到每个学期，需要修够40个学分，而一般一门课程是10学分，少量课程是20学分。

此外每个学年的论文和最后的毕业论文都是40学分，所以大家按照平均的水平，每年至少要选六门课，当然如果大家选的课的学分比较高，还可以适当减少课程的选择。
