Cutting through complexity to find a solution runs through four predictable stages: determine a goal, find the highest-leverage approach, discover the ideal technology for that approach, and in the meantime, make the smartest application of the technology that you already have — whether it’s something sophisticated, like a drug, or something simpler, like a bednet.

The defining and ongoing innovations of this age – biotechnology, the computer, the Internet – give us a chance we’ve never had before to end extreme poverty and end death from preventable disease.

My mother was very ill with cancer at the time, but she saw one more opportunity to deliver her message, and at the close of the letter she said: "From those to whom much is given, much is expected."

我今天国旗下演讲的题目是《节约水电资源、建设低碳校园》。3月22日，是第xx届“世界水日”，3月22日—3月28日是第2xx届“中国水周”。无论是“世界水日”还是“中国水周”的设立，都意在告诫我们：要珍惜水资源，保护生命之水。

随着世界人口增长，城市化步伐加快，淡水的需求日益增加，水资源严重不足，水的供求矛盾更为突出。据统计目前世界上有80个国家约15亿人口面临淡水不足，其中29个国家的4.5亿多人完全生活在缺水状态中。此外，全世界每年排放的污水达4000多亿吨，从而造成5万多亿吨水体被污染，致使地球上每年有700多万人因饮水不净引起疾病而死亡。如果不能设法提供干净安全的饮用水，到2025年世界上无法获得安全饮用水的人数将增加到23亿。我国也是一个干旱缺水严重的国家。

水是大自然赠于我们人类宝贵的自然资源之一，是人类生命之源。然而今天，它正与其他自然资源一样，面临着人类的过度开发、严重污染而不堪重负。我们有的同学对着水声哗哗哗的水龙头，一点也不觉得心疼。但你知道吗?你舒舒服服洗一次澡的用水量是缺水地区几十人一天用的水;当粗心的你没有拧紧水龙头，它一个晚上流失的水，相当于非洲缺水地区一个村庄的居民一日的饮水量……

水是这样，其他自然资源面临的情况又何偿不是如此?

现在，全社会都在倡导节约，我们更应该积极加入到这个行列中来，养成勤俭节约的好习惯。当你离开教室或经过一个班级，看到空无一人的教室里的电灯还开着时，请随手关掉，每一度电都应该用在需要的地方，不要白白浪费了;当你洗手洗脸或洗东西时不要将水开得太大。当你吃饭时，请别浪费粮食，因为每一粒都来之不易……

同学们，节约是一种美德，节约是一种智慧，节约更应该成为一种习惯和风气。建设节约型社会需要全社会的共同参与，建设和谐校园需要大家来共同行动。更重要的是，只有懂得节约资源，我们才能更好的保护自然，只有保护好自然，人类才能与自然和谐相处!

君不见黄河之水天空上来，奔流到海不复回。君不见高堂明镜悲白发，朝如青丝暮如雪。诗人的高歌，伟人的教诲，哲人的感慨……时间，曾有多少文人墨客为它赞美，为它歌颂！有人把时间比作金钱，为了言极它的珍贵，却无法突出它的价值！或许有人反驳：人一生劳碌，无非就是为了金钱，从而得以生存，是在以时间换取金钱为代价的。但是人生在世，难道就只为了生存吗？还在于活得幸福，活得鲜明！金钱失去，能够由时间换回，然而，却从来没有人能用金钱买到时间。

有人把时间比作智慧，为了说明它是用金钱买不来的，还需经过努力，拼搏、思索、创造……但，即便费了这番心思，仍旧无能由魔掌中夺回时间！它太渺茫了，无影无形，漫天飘摇，可世间一切物质却又无一不是在它的控制下生存。

“花开堪折则须折，莫待无花空折枝。”只有善于用时者，才能取得胜利！在时间的注视下，有人在努力，有人在消磨；有人迎向进取，有人自甘堕落；有人将年华虚度，有人勤恳奋发……有人满腔热血，毕生充实；也有人华发早生，无为而终。时间有一颗明事理，辩黑白的心，它有一双雪亮的眼睛。时间喜欢有志气，敢和它竞争的人；痛恨任人摆布，随波逐流，抱着今朝有酒今朝醉的心态，不思进取的懦夫！

闲散而过，终日重复碌碌的衰败，不仅仅是对自己的不负职责，也辜负了所有寄予期望的人！亵渎了时间，负了它的债，就将受到它的严惩！

昨天已是过眼云烟，再也无法挽留。如果在昨天，你为取得了一点骄人的成绩而沾沾自喜，或是因为做错了一件事情而愁眉不展，那么你就永远陷进了昨天的泥潭里。同时，你今天的时间也会从你的沾沾自喜或愁眉不展中悄悄流逝。每个人都会乘坐“今天”这班车驶向明天，一天一个驿站，一天一处风景，趁着明天还未到来，我们就应抓住今天，这样等待着你的才会是果实累累的明天。

我们不应该在昨天寻觅什么，也不应该向明天祈求什么，重要的是怎样对待今天。在这有限的时间里努力学习，抓紧今天的分分秒秒，用今天的努力去弥补昨天的空隙，去实现明天的崇高理想。

上学期期末考试已经结束，已经成为历史，成为了不能改变的事情，你可能受挫了，也可能失败了，但是，“不经历风雨怎么见彩虹。”失败并不可怕，可怕的是认输。远航的水手告诉我们“风雨中，这点痛算什么，擦干泪，不要问，至少我们还有梦。”我们的青春是炽烈的，我们的目标是明确的。

今天我讲话的题目是《青春更是一种责任！》

英国查尔斯王子曾经说过：“这个世界上有许多你不得不去做的事，这就是责任。”

责任不是一个甜美的字眼，它有的仅是岩石般的冷峻。当一个人真正成为社会的一分子时，责任作为一份成年的礼物已不知不觉地落在他的肩上。它是一个你不得不付出一切去呵护的孩子，而它给予你的，往往是灵魂与肉体上的痛苦，这样的一个十字架，我们为什么要背负呢？因为它终带给你的是人类的珍宝——人格的伟大。

20世纪初，一位美国意大利移民曾为人类精神历史写下灿烂光辉的一笔。他叫弗兰克，经过艰苦的创业，他用所有的积蓄开办了一家小银行，但一次银行遭抢劫导致了他不平凡的经历。他破产了，储户失去了存款。当他带着妻子和4个儿女从头开始的时候，他决定偿还那笔天文数字般的存款。所有的人都劝他：“你为什么要这样做呢？这件事你是没有责任的。”但他回答：“是的，在法律上也许我没有责任，但在道义上，我有责任，我应该还钱。”偿还的代价是30年艰苦生活。当寄出后一笔“债务”时，他轻叹：“现在我终于无债一身轻了。”他用一生的辛酸和汗水完成了自己的责任，而给世界留下了一笔真正的财富。

发生在xx的真实的故事：xx市公交公司702路422号双层巴士司机黄志全，在行车的途中突然心脏病发作，在生命的后一分钟里，他做了三件事：1.把车缓缓地停在路边，拉下手动刹车闸；2.把车门打开，让乘客安全地下了车；3.将发动机熄火，确保了车和乘客的安全。他做完了这三件事，趴在方向盘上停止了呼吸。这只是一名平凡的公交车驾驶员，然而许多人牢牢地记住了他的名字。他在生命的后一分钟所做的一切，都只为这两个字“责任”。

一个11岁的美国男孩在踢足球时，不小心将邻居家的玻璃打碎，邻居愤怒不已，向他索赔12.5美元。这12.5美元对于他的家庭来说可谓是天文数字，足够买下125只生蛋的母鸡了。男孩儿把闯祸的事告诉了父亲，并且忏悔。见儿子为难的样子，父亲拿出了12.5美元，说：“这笔钱是我借给你的，一年后要分毫不差的还给我。”男孩赔了钱之后，便开始艰苦地打工。终于，经过半年的努力，他把这“天文数字”分毫不差地还给了父亲。这个男孩就是后来的罗纳德·里根——美国第40任总统。他曾回忆说：“通过自己的劳动来承担过失，使我懂得了到底什么是责任。”

这个社会不缺少有能力的人，而是缺少既有能力又有责任的人。同样，没有做不好的事，只有不负责任的人。责任承载着能力，一个充满责任感的人才有机会充分展现自己的能力。因为有责任心的人，必定是敬业、热忱、主动、忠诚，把细节做到完美的人。在责任感的驱使下，他们会积极挖掘自我潜能，会更加勇敢、坚忍和执著，会充满激情地勤奋工作。“责任有多大，事业就有多大”这是对大庆精神好的诠释。“人可以不伟大，但不可以没有责任心。”这是微软公司矢志不渝的名言。三星把员工的责任心，看成企业的核心。麦当劳则把责任细化到数字之中。

同学们，相信你也经常会有经过努力后满足的轻叹“我终于完成了父母对我的嘱托、老师交给我的任务、同学对我的托付…”。而相反的，上课拖沓迟到、昏昏欲睡，作业拖欠、抄袭，缺少了老师的监督就肆意放纵，忘记了学生的身份、忘记了学生该有的责任，那些都是精神颓废，不负责的表现，是虚度人生，更是推卸责任的丑行。每一个人在社会上都扮演着不同的角色，都有自己不同的责任。教给你们怎样做人，是老师的责任。而作为学生的我们，不要跟老师计较你的自由，更不要跟父母大谈你的权利，因为一个不知道责任的自由，是散漫！一个不懂得负责的权利，是自私！

同学们，当我们随意地挥霍自己青春岁月时，我们不难发现青春逝去的匆匆；当我们的脸庞绽开青春笑脸时，父母的眼角却悄悄爬满了皱纹；当我们尽情驰骋球场、徜徉校园小路时，母亲却在一步步地走进垂暮之年。所以，我们终究要明白，青春不仅是音乐与憧憬、浪漫与梦想，青春更应该是一种责任！

And we all know that a lot of beautiful rivers in the world also are Sharing the same fate with suzhou river．

Many human activities and their by-products have the potential to pollute water. Please have a look along the banks of the river, large and small industrial enterprises discharge dirty water, tons of garbage were thrown into the river, the water contained so much that it can＇t clean itself. Compared with the dramatic development in many sides of Shanghai, the suzhou river has become a black point of the appearance of city.

Fortunately, the government has control the situation now, we are happy to see some parts of the river has become clean again, and we even can find fish sometime.

The unique earth is the only planet full of lives, the water is just like the blood in the active body, protecting water is saving ourselves. Not to waste a single drop of water, otherwise, the only drop of water we could keep in the future would be our tear!

I can hadle it

I can never forget the summer in 1996. I went through an extremity of despair due to my failure in the National College Entrance Examination. It seemed that my dream of being a university student would never come true. One evening my father came and told me the story of Steven Callahan, who was crossing the Atlantic alone in his sailboat when it struck something and sank. It was a miracle that he survived and was found 76 days later(the longest anyone has survived a shipwreck on a life raft alone). Later in his narrative he wrote these sentences “I tell myself I can handle it .Compared to what others have been through I’m fortunate”.

Hearing these sentences I felt something important struck me. I belived my life would mot be that bad and it was proved to be true. Later during my study in the university I always told myself “I can handle it” when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming and every time I said it ,I always came back to my senses.

Now I work as an English teacher in a middle school. Whenever my students complain about their difficulties in study or want to give up, I will tell the same story of Callahan to them. I just want to make them believe they can handle their difficulties because their circumstances are only bad compared to something better. But others have been through much worse. Then they will build up fortitude.

So here, coming to us from the extreme edge of survival, are words that can give us strength. Whatever you’re going through, tell yourself you can handle it. Compared to what others have been through, you’re fortunate. Tell this to yourself over and over, and it will help you get through the rough spots with little more fortitude.

You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits.”

I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

大家好，我是XXX。

今天能站在这里，纯属偶然。

什么说偶然呢，因为，是个人才济济的地方，164班是一个优秀的集体。个人认为，班级前二十几名的同学，时机适宜，谁考班上第一名都有可能。妈妈对我说：考了第一名，不要有压力，这一次已证明了你有考第一名的实力。以后，出现名次上下浮动都很正常，以平常心对待。

先说明一下，因为时间紧，这份发言稿是我和爸爸妈妈一起写的，下面就孩子的学习和家庭教育的几个观点和大家探讨一下：

1、关于分数。

从小学开始，爸爸妈妈对我就是这样要求的，只要学习态度好，考试考多少分都不会怪我，所以，我考试对分数没什么压力，所以很少有发挥失常的时候，成绩也差不到哪去。我的经验就是：像考试一样做认真做作业，像做作业一样地轻松考试。初中了，妈妈重新告诉我：考试，只要考出你的真实水平，就可以。比如，某次考试，你的真实水平是90分，你考了90分，就很好。如果，因为某种原因，你只考了70分，那爸爸妈妈就会为你遗憾，因为你的努力付出没有得到对等的回报。

在我们家，分数引起的反应基本上是波澜不惊的，考100分也好，80分也好，没什么太大的反响。人生处处是考场，从容面对，考出自己真实水平就好。在我们家，物质也不与分数，成绩挂钩。

物质上的东西，能给生活带来便利，而爸爸妈妈的经济能承受的，就会给我买，与成绩没关系。爸爸妈妈认为，那种挂钩很容易培养孩子的功利思想，而偏离了学习和生活的本质。

我身上不缺零用钱，钱包里有一张银行卡备用，家里的小盒子里，爸爸妈妈也常放了几百元零钱备用。

爸爸妈妈的理念是，在当今充满诱惑的时代，孩子不缺钱、不缺爱，到外面走弯路的概率就要小很多。

2、享受生活。

教育的最终目的是让孩子有能力创造幸福生活，享受生活。我们觉得，享受生活，不要说等你长大以后，而是从今天开始，从现在开始。

有一次，一位奶奶对我说，你父母对你这么好，你一定要好好学习，长大报答你的父母。妈妈更正了这种说法，对我说：对父母的报答不是很高的分数，而是从现在开始，好好活着，每一天。

所以，学习只是我生活重要的一部分，但不是全部。交朋友、看电影、打扮漂亮、和小狗狗玩、适当上网玩游戏放松、去乡下陪伴疼爱我的奶奶、外婆外公、聊有好感的男生等等这些让我的生活很丰富，也让我的生活充满了爱，生命之火激情燃烧。妈妈说，她从我的每一篇作文中，都感觉到了我对爱的理解。

3、阅读经典。

阅读经典，是学好语文的关键。也是理解人生的重要途径。经典之所以成为经典，必定有它的卓越之处。从去年开始，我开始阅读外国经典名著。我强烈地感觉到，我的作文、考试做阅读题目都上了一个台阶。在阅读的时候，并不一定感觉到明显效果，但写起作文来，笔下的文采仿佛不是自己的，涓涓流出。这就是文化的熏陶，在不知不觉中融入到了阅读者的生命。建议大家不要让孩子读那种快餐书籍，比如各种杂志、童话故事、如何成功速成等等，要读经典的的世界名著。可能刚开始读，会找不着感觉，但读上两三本，就会找到节奏。

有一次，妈妈问我：你阅读名著时，感受到愉悦了吗?我说，感受到了!那一刻，妈妈很欣慰。因为，愉悦，是最高层次的享受。

从阶段性的作用上讲，阅读经典可以使语文成绩提高十分左右，这十分左右对于中考来说，是多么重要。

4、音乐的熏陶

阅读、音乐和其他艺术形式，其终极意义都是让人在某一阶段感到愉悦，让灵魂舒展，轻盈。

孩子们时间很紧张，妈妈平时在接送我，或开车一起外出的时候，会根据情况适时的挑选一些高雅的音乐在车里放。我在放松的情况下，不知不觉地接触到了一些世界名曲，和一些歌词写得很好的歌曲，这一次我的作文拿了高分，就是以平时在车上听到的那些音乐为题材写的。

5、润物细无声。

现在的孩子叛逆心极重，我也不例外。

比如阅读，听音乐这些事情，我妈妈做得很随意，不露痕迹，根据我的情绪来，在我想休息或者做其他事的时候，她会尊重我的意见，不强行摊派。

6、训练孩子的独立性，有主见。

从小，爸爸妈妈就有意识地培养我的独立性。因为，孩子不可能一辈子生活在父母的羽翼下。

尊重孩子的选择，这是最重要的。因为，人生很多事情不是只有一个选择，可以有很多选择，每一种选择都有一定的道理。不要用家长心中的选择去评价孩子。

比如：我五岁的时候，天气很热，从幼儿园出来，很渴，想要喝饮料。妈妈给钱给我，让我自己去买。我害羞，因为从未尝试过，害怕，就不肯自己去。妈妈告诉我，现在你有两个选择，一是自己去买，然后喝。一是自己不去买，那就忍着，回家再喝水。我犹豫了一下，选择了不去买，忍着。妈妈觉得这也是一种选择，就尊重我，也不评价我。

小学时，放学下雨了，妈妈也不会主动送伞。她知道，我总会想办法的，比如，和同学共，比如在教室里先做作业，比如去超市里避雨，顺便逛一逛超市。因为，我曾对妈妈说过，你女儿没你想象的那么蠢，总会想到办法。

再比如：现在我买衣服，妈妈只负责出钱。上次，和同学一起去买地摊货，25元买了一件衬衣，穿到学校来了，妈妈说也还漂亮，但建议我把那些线头剪一下，别让人一眼就看出地摊货。第二次，我又去买了一件，拿回来就觉得小了。妈妈也没评价我，建议我送给一个比我矮一点的朋友了。

这都是我的选择，爸爸妈妈都尊重我。不作负面评价。就是这样，我一路思考，爸爸妈妈一路尊重，我渐渐长大了，遇事不逃避，学会思考，有自己的主见。

7、关于粗心

经常听见有家长这样说自己的孩子，我家孩子这次错的题目好多都知道做，就是粗心啊。

在这里，我想谈一谈我们家的观点。从五年级起，妈妈就告诉我：粗心，就是能力差，学得不扎实的表现!

任何时候，都不要说是因为粗心没考好。也请家长不要再为孩子找这个推脱责任的借口。

细心、沉稳、脚踏实地是必备的能力，如果具备了这些能力，偶尔丢一两分，可以理解，超过两分，就是能力还欠缺，学得不扎实。

这个观点，妈妈五年级开始和我交流，我也渐渐认同。所以，我正常情况下能考高分，成绩稳定，这个观点应该起了很大的作用。

8、培养孩子的能力

家长要放手，在可控的范围下尽量放手。

比如，做一件事，孩子去做，可能只能打30分，你不满意，骂他，甚至代替他做了，当时事情的效果可以打90分。但请家长注意，这90分，永远是你的90分，孩子仍然是0分。如果，你让他做，用他不反感的方式指点一下，这一次可能只是30分，下一次就有可能是60分，再下一次，可能就是95分，甚至比你做得更好。

所以，家长要学习聪明地示弱，把机会让给孩子，并及时鼓励肯定孩子。爸爸妈妈终将老去，要学会把舞台适时地让给孩子，让他们发挥。

孩子只有在一次次的实践、思考中，不断长大，独立，然后超越父母。长江后浪拍前浪，我爸爸妈妈常常很幸福地被我拍死在沙滩上。

9、赏识孩子，扶持孩子的自信，呵护孩子的自尊

中华民族是个谦逊的民族。

在教育孩子方面，却容易走入一个误区。不注意赏识孩子的优点，而过份强调孩子的错误。

当我做得对的时候，爸爸妈妈会及时肯定我，表扬我。妈妈平时在同朋友谈话时，谈到孩子的时候，她会充分肯定孩子身上的优点。我们偶尔听到，表面会装得不在意，实际上，我们很在意，得到肯定的这些优点，我们会继续坚持，越来越好。会按照父母描述的那样优秀的样子去校准自己的言行。

当孩子出现错误的时候，就事论事地分析。不哆嗦，不翻旧账。正确面对事情，改正就好。事情过了，继续过美好的生活，不要把负面情绪过分强调和延伸。

最错误的方式是，在公众面前训斥孩子，丢孩子的脸。家长们，请呵护孩子脆弱的自尊!

当然，是人就会有缺点，我也有一些缺点，就不在这里说了，呵呵。

10、必然性与偶然性。

开始，我说我考第一名是偶然，现在我想告诉大家，当爸爸妈妈用心地把孩子呵护好了，这种偶然，就是必然!孩子具备了努力、坚强、细心、有爱心等等这些品质，偶然地考上一次或几次第一名就成了必然。
